Choir Kontakt Library

UNSUNG is a specialized Kontakt choir library exploring the unadulterated human voice. Created in collaboration with the Norwegian vocal group Små Grå, it blends classical precision with Nordic singing traditions. It focuses on alternative vocal sounds, extended techniques, and textures, providing a unique palette for scoring modern cinematic music.

The recordings were done in a dry sounding studio, and recorded through Neve pre-amps.

The focus is entirely on organic, human quality. We captured the breath, friction, and ‘imperfect’ details that standard libraries often polish away. While we include powerful processing tools, the core samples are raw, visceral, and unmistakably human.

Yes. Many patches utilize our Pendulum engine (controlled via Modwheel), which allows you to seamlessly morph from a single solo voice into the full ensemble. This gives you dynamic control over the ‘size’ of the choir in real-time. 

No. UNSUNG is designed for emotional textures, ‘tone poems,’ and abstract vocals rather than specific lyrical chanting. It focuses on vowels, phonemes, and wordless vocables that transcend specific languages.

Yes. The license covers royalty-free use in your own musical compositions, including film scores, video games, trailers, and commercial releases. You cannot, however, repackage the individual samples for resale.

UNSUNG is designed for deep custom scripting and does not currently support the NKS standard. However, all major parameters are easily assignable to MIDI CCs for full control with any controller. All important controllers assignes to Native Instruments related hardware. 

YES. This is essential. UNSUNG requires the Full Retail Version of Kontakt 6.4.2 or later. It will not work in the free Kontakt Player. If you load it in the free Player, it will time out after 15 minutes.

Since this is a dedicated third-party library requiring the full version of Kontakt, it does not use a serial number in Native Access. Simply download, unzip, and load the .nki files directly from Kontakt’s Files tab or drag-and-drop them into the interface. We recommend using Kontakt’s Quickload feature for easy access.
