About Wrongtools A/S

Wrongtools A/S are in the business of selling downloadable products in the form of digital audio recordings, music production software and other related materials, for use by, but not limited to, musicians, music producers, composers, film editors and web designers.

1 Terms

These terms of Service apply when you (“Licensee”) use the services provided on the online platform (“the Service”) which have been made available by Wrongtools A/S (“Wrongtools”), a company registered under Foretaksregisteret : NO 826 350 482 MVA. Wrongtools A/S, Postkasse 61,Tr.heimsvn. 197A, 0570 Oslo, Norway

We advise you to read this entire agreement. By accepting this agreement or by using Wrongtools Service, you agree to all of these terms. If you do not accept and comply with these terms, you may not use the Wrongtools sounds, libraries, code, attachments or its features.

Products sold commercially or provided for free at  will be referred to as “Service”.  “The Service” includes any purchase, download, view or use of music software and products made available to you on the platform.

1.1 Validity.

Wrongtools may modify or alter these Terms of Service at any time. Such changes and/or additional terms will apply between Licensee and Wrongtools as of the date the modified ‘Terms of Service’ are posted on the website as set out above. If the Licensee does not agree to the changes or additional terms, the Licensee shall notify Wrongtools and cease all use of the Service.

2 Wrongtools Account

You do not have to be registered with Wrongtools A/S to view the website, but to purchase products you must provide certain information, including a user name, password and valid email address. Once these are provided they will be kept on file by Wrongtools A/S. This information will be used by Wrongtools A/S as outlined in the ‘Privacy Policy.’ 

You agree to keep your password confidential and secure and to not allow anyone else to use your login data to access the Site or any Content.  You will be responsible to Wrongtools A/S for the activity that occurs under your registration account.  Please let us know immediately if you suspect that someone else has obtained your login credentials.

Within  the account area of wrongtools.com, the Licensee gets an overview of order history, receipts, licenses and access to exclusive content. The account is personal and cannot be transferred to another person or entity. 

3. Payment and Downloading Products

Payment is taken on behalf of Wrongtools by PayPal, VISA or other payment methods offered.   After payment you will be taken to a page where you can download your product(s). If your download fails you may reattempt to download from the same link.  The link won’t go out on date, but we have put a limit to the number of downloads on each purchase.  To reset the download count, simply get in touch with us. 

The Licensee also accepts that his/her contact information is collected and stored by Wrongtools, at all times subject to Wrongtools’s Privacy Policy.

4. Delivery

Products purchased from Wrongtools are delivered digitally to the e-mail address provided by the Licensee at the time of purchase. If the Licensee has a Wrongtools Account, the product will also be available from there, after a completed purchase procedure. Delivery will be made immediately as the payment has been electronically processed. 

5. Payments and final orders

All payments are made through PayPal and all orders have to be prepaid.  Acceptable payment methods are clarified within the purchase process  and include certain credit and debit cards.  Depending on what PayPal offer in your country. 

The costs the service is calculated in EUR on the check-out page and is inclusive of applicable taxes. Parties hereto shall be liable for all taxes, assessments or duties, which may now or hereafter be imposed, but excluding taxes assessed on Parties’ profit. According to MOSS regulations, Clients that do not have VAT IDs in the EU will be charged VAT according to the country they live in. 

6 Updates and upgrades 

Updates may be offered to you. Wrongtools A/S reserves the right to decide if those offers are time-limited or not, and to stop them anytime. 

Purchase of a collection or bundle of sampler-instrument libraries is limited to those libraries that have been released at of the date of your purchase.

7 Warranties

The Licensee recognises and accepts that their utilisation of the Service, along with any products or content acquired through it, is undertaken solely at their own risk. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any warranties of any kind, whether expressed or implied. These include, but are not limited to, implied warranties, terms and conditions of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a specific purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

8 Disclaimer and Waiver

Wrongtools A/S will be held harmless against any losses, judgements, claims, legal fees or court costs that may arise out of a breach of these terms and conditions. By entering this agreement you agree not to sue or recover any damages from Wrongtools A/S, and any affiliated companies or people, as a result of its decision to terminate or suspend this agreement. Using this product and any supplied software is at the licensee’s own risk. 

Wrongtools A/S holds no responsibility any direct or indirect consequential loss arising from the use of this product in whatever form. Wrongtools A/S will not be responsible if the sounds does not fit the particular purpose.

Whilst Wrongtools A/S will take reasonable and sufficient steps to ensure that the website is free from any viruses, trojans, malware, spyware, harmful software, data theft or any unauthorised malicious activity, Wrongtools A/S make no guarantees on this subject and will not be held liable for any loss resulting from this. 

9 Court of jurisdiction and applicable laws

This license agreement is governed by Norwegian law.  Regardless of which country an order is placed from, the law of Norway shall apply to all use of the Service, including any and all purchases made from Wrongtools on the platform. Any dispute arising from, or related to, a Product purchase shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the District Court of Oslo, Norway.

10 Transfer of rights and obligations

Wrongtools A/S may assign, transfer, sell or otherwise dispose its rights and obligations under these Terms of Service, in whole or part, at any time without notice to the Licensee. The Licensee may not assign any right, title or interest, in whole or in part, to any Product or Service purchased or otherwise obtained under this Agreement.

End User License Agreement [EULA]

This End User License Agreement is applicable to all products (obtained or purchased) provided by Wrongtools A/S, (“Wrongtools”), a company registered under Foretaksregisteret : NO 826 350 482 MVA. Wrongtools A/S, Postkasse 61,Tr.heimsvn. 197A, 0570 Oslo, Norway.  Such products being software and thereto related explanatory materials (“Software”). The term “Software” shall also include any upgrades, modified versions or updates of the Software licensed to you by Wrongtools. When obtaining a product from Wrongtools, these terms and conditions apply for the product and license to use the Software. You are therefore advised to read this agreement carefully.

1. Processing of orders, payment and delivery

The terms and conditions for processing of orders from the Wrongtools platform, as well as for payment and delivery of purchased products, are set out in the Terms of Service. Please read them before placing an order with Wrongtools.

Payment for products can be made using various methods such as credit or debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) through PayPal, as specified on the Service. All transactions, including pre-orders, are charged immediately. Please be aware that all credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If your card issuer denies authorisation for payment, your order will be canceled, and we cannot be held responsible for any resulting delays or non-delivery.

We are not liable for any charges imposed by your card issuer or bank due to the processing of your credit/debit card payment in accordance with your order. Furthermore, we are not obliged to notify you of the reasons for refusal. By utilising your credit or debit card, you affirm that you are the cardholder and that there are sufficient funds or credit available to cover the charges. When placing an order, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements and that you have consented to be bound by this Agreement.

Please note that international payments and certain payment methods may incur additional payment processing costs.

2.  Refunds

If you wish to evaluate a sample-library before placing an order for purchase of a license, you’ll need to listen closely to the demos and walkthroughs. Rarely there will be a free demo.  

Due to the nature of downloadable products and online services, no refunds are normally available for Products which have already been downloaded. Any refund request will be considered in our sole discretion and our decision will be final. Nothing herein affects your statutory rights.

All products are delivered digitally only, as set out in the Terms of Service.

The right of withdrawal expires fourteen (14) days after the purchase was made.  Withdrawal will only be possible if the product has not been downloaded. 

3. License

Subject to the terms and conditions set out in this End User License Agreement (the “Agreement”) Wrongtools grants to you (the “Licensee”) a nonexclusive, non-transferrable, non-sub-licensable license to use the sounds and files strictly limited to what is set out in this Agreement.

By making payment for a product you (and only you) are granted a non-exclusive and non-transferrable license to download the products you purchase from Wrongtools A/S. 

You may incorporate them in a music production, film, tv program, website or other media production, without paying any additional royalties, license fees, or any other fees to Wrongtools A/S or any third parties. 

The license are granted only to you as a single user. You may use this product on up to three separate computers, which shall be owned and used by you exclusively.

It’s your job to protect the purchases or downloads from wrongtools.com from being publicly accessible.

4 Usage and Copyright

Copying, re-selling, leasing, duplicating or distribution in any form of the products for sale, other than outlined in this Terms and conditions, is strictly prohibited. This extends, but is not limited, to file sharing websites, web forums, computer networks and file hosting websites. Products cannot be distributed in their original format or sold in a manner that would be considered competitive with the nature of Wrongtools A/S’ business. 

The usage of content from our products for the creation of a sound library or as a sound library for any kind of synthesizer, virtual instrument, sample library, sample-based product or other musical instrument is strictly prohibited.

All content of this website, including text, our self-composed demo-songs, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, video, our code, animations, data compilations, and software is the property of Wrongtools A/S or presented under license from another entity, and is protected by all applicable copyright laws.

5 NFR Serials and Free Products 

Wrongtools libraries or patches labeled as “NFR” (Not For Resale) shall only be used for demonstration, testing and evaluation purposes. – These files are typically intended for journalists that wish to review the instruments.  A License marked as NFR is equal to the respective Personal or Site License, with the only exception that the NFR License may not be transferred to a third party.

 NFR Products and Free Products may not be used for commercial purposes, and may not be resold or transferred.

6 Copyright

All rights, title and interests to the Software are proprietary to Wrongtools A/S and its suppliers. Further, the structure, organisation and code pertaining to the Software are the valuable trade secrets of Wrongtools A/S and its suppliers.

7 Licensee obligations

Wrongtools retains full ownership and title of the Products, including all digitally recorded sounds and copies contained within them. Copies of the Products are made available to you solely for the purpose of enabling you to exercise your rights as specified in this agreement. By purchasing any Product(s), you acquire a limited license to use the Product(s), but not ownership of them.

Licensee shall not rent, lease, sell, distribute, transfer, copy, reproduce, display, reverse engineer, decompile, modify or disassemble any Product(s) or Documentation (or part or element thereof).

7.1. Wrongtools Trademark

Licensee shall use Wrongtools A/S’s trademarks and product names only to identify output produced by Wrongtools instruments, in accordance with accepted trademark practice, including identification of trademark owner’s name. Such use of a trademark does not give Licensee any rights of ownership in that trademark.

7.2. Third Party Software Trademarks

All product and company names are trademarks™ or registered® trademarks of their respective holders. Use of them does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by them.

8 No warranty

The Software is delivered to you AS IS and Wrongtools A/S makes no warranty other than as set out in the Software specifications.  Factors out of our control are things like if future updates from Native-Instrumentsor other future DAW or operative system. 

Except for as specifically agreed in this Agreement, Wrongtools A/S and its suppliers do not and cannot warrant the performance or results made by use of the Software. Wrongtools A/S and its suppliers make no warranties, expressed or implied, of the Software as to non infringement of third party rights, merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose. In no event will Wrongtools A/S or its suppliers be liable to you for any consequential, incidental or special damages, including any lost profits or lost savings, even if a Wrongtools A/S representative has been advised of the possibility of such damages, or for any claim by any third party.

9 Term, Termination and Jurisdiction

This Agreement shall be governed exclusively by the laws of Norway.

The license granted to Licensee shall be null and void upon failure by Licensee to comply with any terms of this Agreement, and any continued use of the Software without a valid license shall be understood as an infringement in Wrongtools A/S’s copyright to the Software.

Privacy Policy

This notice discloses the online data collection and use practices of Wrongtools

To provide you with the services you have selected, it is essential for Wrongtools A/S to store your personal information. This information will be used by Wrongtools A/S and its service providers to allow for faster purchasing and the allocation of discount coupons, and will not be passed on to any third parties. 

No promotional information from Wrongtools A/S or any third parties will be sent to the email address provided, except if you opt into the Wrongtools newsletter, which you can unsubscribe to at any time.

This website complies with GDPR regulations and Wrongtools A/S takes all necessary measures to ensure your data is protected against loss, theft, misuse and alteration. 

Wrongtools A/S is not responsible for any information contained in any 3rd party websites that are linked to from this website. 

Wrongtools A/S will not be held liable for any non-performance due to force majeure circumstances.

For our customers and account holders we store the E-mail address, Name, Address, Owned product(s), Serial number(s), Spent amount, dates, Payment method, IP address and Download history

For our newsletter recipients we store E-mail address, Name and Marketing consent

We store customer information because we need to be able to send product updates or new versions. As well as the ability to track down illegal uploads. 

For the newsletter, we sometimes send information about new products, discounts and other news connected to our products. Customers may unsubscribe from our newsletter list, via the opt-out link at the bottom of every e-mail.

2 collection of information

Wrongtools uses the personal information it collects:

  • To communicate with you and to send you important product and service related notices, such as information about purchases, information on technical services issues, support, security announcements and changes to our terms, conditions and policies.
  • To operate and to improve its online and digital services, websites and its contents, as well as the products and how to enhance their user-friendliness.
  • To provide you with the product or service you have requested or purchased, including checking that a payment is not made fraudulently.
  • To provide user care, warranty, returns and other after sales services.
  • To keep you informed about new products, software updates and upcoming events, as well as to provide you with newsletters and other sales and marketing communications. Customers may unsubscribe from the newsletter list, via the opt-out link at the bottom of every e-mail.
  • To create anonymous, aggregated statistics about the use of our website, products, services and other programmes.
  • To develop and improve new and existing Wrongtools products and services, recommendations, advertisements and other communications and learn more about our user’s music and sound preferences in general.

2.1 For customers from EU, EU-VAT-Assistant handles the following data:

  1. Customer’s country (billing and/or shipping)
  2. Customer’s VAT number
  3. Customer’s IP address

The EU VAT Assistant retains the data for the following purposes:

  1. To collect evidence about customer’s location, for compliance with the EU VAT MOSS regulations.
  2. To validate customer’s VAT number and apply the appropriate VAT regime (exemption, reverse charge).
  3. To store evidence for compliance with other tax regulations, which require the data to be stored for a set period of time.

3 Storing Methods

We have adopted and implemented a number of technical and administrative measures to protect your privacy from unauthorised access, use or alteration and unlawful destructions, including where appropriate the following steps:

  • Using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption when collecting or transferring sensitive information, such as credit card details (SSL encryption is designed to make the data unreadable by anyone but Wrongtools).
  • Implementing physical, digital and procedural safeguards in line with relevant business standards and guidelines.
  • Connected 3rd party providers and services holds a high security standard. 
  • Login to server only possible with authenticator and knowledge of changing passwords

3.1 Customer information is stored at 

3.1.1 When shopping, Mailchimp keep a record of your email and the cart contents for up to 30 days on their server. This record is kept to repopulate the contents of your cart if you switch devices or needed to come back another day. Read their privacy policy here.

3.2 Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

4 .What you should do to help us in protecting your information?

As general best practice on the Internet, it is recommended that users take great care with their accounts, and follow vigilantly some general safety rules:

  • Do not use simple, trivial, or versatilely used passwords when creating an account or using our products and services.
  • Do not share your account information with any person claiming to represent Wrongtools. For support purposes, we only need you to provide us with the email address you used when creating your Wrongtools account.

  • Never use an unlicensed Wrongtools account fraudulently created to access our products and services.

5 Cookies

When you enter wrongtools.com you will be issued with a cookie, which is a small text file transferred from the website to your hard drive, and is used to validate your login details and allow the webshop to function smoothly when browsing the site. This helps us to provide the best browsing experience for our customers. Wrongtools uses session cookies as well as persistent cookies on its website and webshop. Wrongtools uses third-party cookies from services such as Paypal, Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics and Mailchimp. The information is anonymous and does not contain any personal data. The data, gathered by the mentioned companies’ “cookies” on our site is being transferred and stored on servers belonging to the respective party in compliance with their Privacy terms.

Our website allows embed video and audio materials of third party websites (YouTube, Disco, Soundcloud, Vimeo), these third party websites can install “cookies” on your computer, when you watch the embedded media through our site. The sanction and terms of use for such “cookies” are being determined by third parties and therefore detailed information about them is to be requested from the mentioned third party sites.

5.3 Disable cookies

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your settings to decline cookies as well as delete existing cookies from your device if you prefer. If you choose to decline and/or delete cookies, you may not be able to use all features of Wrongtools´s websites or services that depend on cookies.

If you have an account on this site,  you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Please take note that we may reject requests that are unreasonable or not required by law, including those that would be extremely impractical, could require disproportionate technical effort, or could expose us to operational risks. Furthermore, we may retain information as required or permitted by applicable laws and regulations, including to honour your choices, for our billing or records purposes and to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

We respect our customers, and wouldn’t think about spamming you or give away any account info. 

Our newsletters are sent from mailchimp, and it is quick and easy to unsubscribe. Just click on the unsubscribe option, offered at the bottom of the email en each newsletter.
