The Fender Jaguar was introduced in 1962 as Fender’s top-of-the-line electric guitar, known for its distinctive offset body, shorter 24-inch scale length, and complex dual-circuit switching system (rhythm and lead). It featured unique single-coil pickups with “claws” for improved RF shielding and a floating tremolo system. While initially popular with surf rock musicians, it was later embraced by alternative, indie rock, and punk artists for its unique jangle and versatile tones.

JAGUAR was recorded using a 1963 Fender Jaguar guitar, captured through three stacked amplifiers and multiple mic positions, providing a pristine yet character-rich guitar sound with organic warmth and clarity.

The library includes three distinct microphone positions: Spot (close mic), 2m (mid-distance), and 5m (room mic). These positions provide different sonic perspectives, from direct and punchy to spacious and ambient. 

This kontakt guitar library requires the full version of Full Retail Version of Kontakt 6.4.2 [or later]. It will not run in the free Kontakt Player. If you’re unsure about compatibility, see our general Kontakt compatibility guide.
