We tracked this ceremonial instrument through a vintage Studer 169 desk, preserving the raw, wooden thud of the hollowed log frame.
Hits and strikes recorded over many dynamic layers with different beaters and numerous round robins. Single hits recorded with mallets, sticks, hands and fingers.
A deeply sampled ceremonial frame drum, captured with expansive dynamic range.
We also captured two separate vintage tube spring reverb signals, adding instant cinematic weight and analogue grit to the dry signal.
The [FX] Sculpt-tools allows you to extract small fragments of sounds and meld them into expansive, evolving loops. It can also conjure the delightful patter of raindrops or transform them into wallS of sound.
Drums made from hollowed-out logs and played using sticks or beater.

"I'm a player and huge fan of frame drums so I have a ton of libraries with them. This one sounds great and easily stands up to the best of them. The bite on the medium size is just spot on. Kudos for creating such an excellent sounding library."
