ADVANCED TIPS AND TRICKS
Where to begin…
We use this library on every project, we love it, and discover new things every time. Sometimes we just bang on the bass drum, sometimes we just use the beautiful cymbals. Other times, we use the full set. maybe through a compressor plug-in.
It can do so many things. It is super-realistic. For example by experimenting with the ampex601 line and the spring reverb impulse responses, you can closely replicate the diverse drum sounds that Lana Del Rey has utilized over the years. The room mics provides beautiful acoustic sounds and the MPC line for more chip-punch. Mix the lines to your preferred taste.

HI-HAT PROGRAMMING
An additional built-in script feature allows the open hi-hat sound to quickly mute when the closed hi-hat is struck. This functionality is located in the second script-slot within Kontakt’s EDIT mode.
THE LENGHT OF EACH SOUND
For really detailed drum programming, a crucial parameter to consider is the release slider. By default, all drums resonate fully, but if you require shorter sounds or need to reduce voice count on dense MIDI tracks, it’s advisable to experiment with the release slider settings. You’ll find it in the ADSR controls, by clicking on VOL or DYN.
DRUM WIDTH AND EQ
Further tweaking can be done on individual tracks by using the channel strips. For example the width control allows you to control stereo image of each track. Sometimes a hard mono sound on close, mpc2000 or ampex601 signal can be cool. Other times it might be nice to go wider on room mics for example. The default is how we think it sounds best.
Some drums, some cymbal rolls and drum rolls are copied on all three drumsets for ease of access and because it might be useful to have them available on all sets.
